Party VS Casual. So these were the outfits I published during May. This month there has been a real battle between my love for casual outfits (bottom line) and my determination for showing you a party series (upper line)... So, which style did you prefer? Last lazy day. The day this shots were taken will probably be my last full-resting day in a while, at least until July when my exams are over! I went to lunch with some girlfriends (isn't that the best thing in the world?!) and therefore I wanted to keep my outfit casual and comfy... This DIY shirt was the perfect way to make it that tiny bit un-basic, don't you think? There is a ridiculous inconvenient to wearing this shirt, though (you'll laugh, for sure!): I got sunburnt only in the shoulders! Ahah, got to wear sunscreen the next time. Anyway, hope you liked it, let me know!

Último dia de preguiça. O dia em que estas fotografias foram tiradas será provavelmente o meu último dia de descanso pelo menos até Julho, quando os meus exames terminam. Fui almoçar com umas amigas (não é a melhor coisa do mundo?!) e portanto quis manter o conjunto casual e prático... e esta camisa DIY é a maneira perfeita de o tornar um pouco menos básico, não acham? No entanto, há um inconveniente ridículo ao usar esta camisa (e preparem-se para se rirem!): apanhei um escaldão só na zona dos ombros! Ahah, tenho que usar protector para a próxima vez. DIY | Off shoulder blouse

So today I'm showing you how you can do an off shoulder blouse all by yourself!

Plus, you'll get to see a look with it tomorrow!

Hoje vou mostrar-vos como podem fazer uma camisa sem ombros completamente sozinhas!

Ah, e amanhã há look com ela!

Step 1

Buy a shirt to work with or use one you don't wear anymore.

Comprar uma camisa sobre a qual trabalhar ou utilizar uma que já não vistas.

Step 2

With a pencil or a piece of chalk draw a line on where you want the cut.

I advise you to try it on at this point to assure it looks exactly like you want to.

Com um lápis ou um pedaço de giz, desenhar uma linha no local onde se quer o corte.

Aconselho a experimentar a camisa nesta altura para ter a certeza que fica como pretendido.

Step 3

Fold the shirt in half and cut the two halfs at the same time, following the line from step 2.

This assures the shirt will be symmetric.

Dobrar a camisa ao meio e cortar as duas metades ao mesmo tempo, seguindo a linha do passo 2.

Isto assegura que os dois lados da camisa ficam simétricos.

Step 4

Try on the shirt already cut to make sure it looks right.

Experimentar a camisa para ter a certeza que o corte ficou certo.

Step 5

Stich some fabric around the cut edge to prevent it from shred.

Coser algum tecido à volta do corte para o prevenir de desfiar.

Step 6

Have fun wearing it!

Total white. I have to admit that I love to wear white, especially in fresh summery looks. It gives such an angelical clean vibe to an outfit don't you think? I decided to pair this colour to some snake details: not only the bag has a snake print, but also I am wearing my new snake ear cuff (which I am totally in love with btw, it's such an original accessory)! Anyway, my final exams are getting closer and closer so I really have to concentrate on my studies, but I promise I'll try to keep the blog updated as much as possible... And I'm off to studying right now! Much love and hope you like it!

Branco total. Tenho que admitir que adoro usar branco, especialmente em looks frescos de Verão. Dá um ar tão clean e angelical, não acham? Decidi combinar esta cor com alguns detalhes cobra: não só a carteira tem este padrão como estou a usar a minha nova ear cuff (com a qual estou perdidamente apaixonada devo acrescentar, é o acessório mais original que tenho)! Devo avisar-vos que os meus exames finais estão cada vez mais próximos e portanto tenho que me concentrar nos meus estudos, mas prometo que vou manter o blogue actualizado o mais possível... Long lost desire. Ever since I saw one snake ear cuff on a tumblr image I have dreamt about having one for myself... However I thought it was one of those items that only tumblr beauties owned. Therefore, you can image my excitement when I found out Oasap had this one: I just had to order it! My hopes were very high and I must say it didn't let me down, it is the perfect original earing!

Desejo de há muito tempo. Desde que vi uma ear cuff em forma de serpente numa imagem de tumblr que sonhava com ter uma para mim. No entanto, achava que esta era daquelas peças que nunca conseguiria encontrar. Conseguem então calcular o meu entusiasmo quando descobri que a Oasap tinha esta: tive que a encomendar! As minhas expectativas estavam bastante altas e tenho que dizer que quando o pacote chegou não fiquei nem um bocadinho desiludida, este é o perfeito brinco original!

Outfit | The Party Series V

Little [insert colour here] dress. So, my party series is finally over... and as a grande finale, I chose to show you the ultimate party basic: the short dress. This is the one I wore to my 18th birthday party and it is my absolute favourite dress. I just love the detailed neckline and how it is so figure flatering. Since the dress is really "wow" (if you know what I mean), I paired it with a denim jacket to create a more casual vibe. So, do you like it? Let me know!

Vestidinho [inserir cor aqui]. A minha série de festa chegou finalmente ao fim... e como grande finale, escolhi mostrar-vos o básico de festa mais essencial: o vestido curto. Este em particular foi o que eu usei na minha festa de 18 anos, e é sem dúvida o meu vestido preferido. Adoro o detalhe trabalhado no decote e a forma como se ajusta ao corpo. Como o vestido é tão "wow" (se é que me entendem), conjuguei-o com um casaco de ganga para tornar o conjunto um pouco mais casual. E então, gostam? Digam-me nos comentários!

Gulbenkian. These gardens are a paradise in the middle of busy Lisbon, I always find it so refreshing and calming to go there. This time I even got the luck to see some little ducklings (see pictures below, they're adorable!). Anyway, for this outfit I decided to do a mix of textures... the shirt is velvet, the shorts are lace and the shoes are studded (which is not actually a texture I think, but you know what I mean). I really liked the result, it's still casual but with an edge to it. I hope you like it!

P.S.: I was supposed to post my last Party Series look today, but it is raining cats and dogs so I won't be able to go shoot it... I'll post it next week, I promise!

Gulbenkian. Estes jardins são um paraíso no meu da minha agitada Lisboa, sempre que lá vou tenho um sentimento de calma e frescura que adoro. Desta vez até tive a sorte de ver patinhos bebés (vejam as fotografias em baixo, são amorosos!). Quanto ao conjunto de hoje, decidi fazer uma mistura de texturas... a camisola é de veludo, os calções são de renda e os sapatos têm tachas (que não são bem uma textura, but you know what I mean). Gostei bastante do resultado, continua um conjunto casual mas tem qualquer coisa de mais especial. Espero que gostem!

P.S.: Era suposto mostrar-vos o último look de festa hoje, mas estão a cair cargas de água imensas e não posso fotografar... Prometo que ponho para a semana!

Black&Red lips. And even though I showed you some alternatives to wearing black to parties, there is no question that this colour is a major party basic... And my favourite way to wear it is in total black looks with little details of colour. In this case, I paired a wide leg pants to my new H&M bathing suit (it makes quite a top, don't you think?!) and added some red lipstick and the sequin bag to cheer up the outfit. This party series is ending and so I wanted to ask you, is there anything you would like to see me styling? Let me know in the comments!

Preto&Lábios vermelhos. E apesar de vos ter mostrado alternativas ao preto, não posso negar que é um básico para festas... E a minha forma preferida de usar esta cor é em look total com pequenos apontamentos de cor. Neste caso, usei umas calças largas transparentes com o meu fato de banho da H&M (não dá um óptimo top?!) e juntei o batom vermelho e a clutch de lantejoulas para "alegrar" o conjunto. Esta série de conjuntos de festa está a acabar e portanto queria perguntar-vos, há alguma coisa (peça, textura, estilo...) que gostassem em especial de me ver conjugar? Digam-me nos comentários!

Lace. After this little break, let's continue with the party series. And my third party basic has to be lace... Although I like it in black or colour as well, white lace is my favourite simply because it has a way of making me dream about feminine and romantic outfits like no other fabric can. Therefore, I decided to pair this top with some soft colours, particularly this magical white midi skirt: I just I love how it twirls when it catches to wind, and it makes such great photos! (About that, sorry for the photo overload, I couldn't decide!) So what do you think? Let me know!

Renda. Depois desta pequena pausa, continuemos com a série de festa. E o meu terceiro básico de festa  é sem dúvida renda... Apesar de também gostar em preto ou em cores vivas, a minha renda preferida é a branca, simplesmente porque me lembra imediatamente de conjuntos femininos e românticos. Assim, decidi juntar este top com peças de cores igualmente suaves, nomeadamente esta saia branca de comprimento midi: adoro como rodopia quando apanha o vento, é mágica! Além disso dá sempre umas fotografias espectaculares! (Daí a quantidade ridícula de fotografias abaixo, desculpem!) Então, gostam?
