Personal | Miss Tangerine Half-birthday

Half a year of blogging. Today is my blog's half birthday, meaning it is exactly half a year old... I can't believe it has been so long already! And taking advantage of this special ocasion, I have a few words to say.

When I started Miss Tangerine, December the 14st of last year, I wanted to do it right. I knew it was going to be a lot of work and take a lot of time, but I wanted to have a great blog. Meaning, I wanted high quality photos, regular posting... I wanted to give it my all (me, a perfeccionist?! Where did you get that idea from?). And of course, I wanted the people who read it to enjoy it.

I wanted all of this. What I never expected was the response the blog had. It kept growing, slowly but steadily. The visits kept increasing, the followers did as such, and I was getting happier and happier that people liked what I was doing.

Today we are 1005 here, which is insanely awesome! :D

Therefore, I just want to thank you very much for being there.

Meio ano de blog. Hoje faz exactamente seis meses que tenho este meu espaço... nem acredito que já passou tanto tempo! Pois bem, aproveitando a ocasião, quero deixar-vos uma quantas palavras.

Quando criei o Miss Tangerine, a 14 de Dezembro do ano passado, queria fazer uma coisa como deve ser. Sabia que ia dar trabalho e requerer muito tempo, mas queria criar um blog de qualidade. Isto é, queria que a fotografia fosse boa, queria posts regulares, queria empenhar-me ao máximo (eu, perfeccionista?! não não, que ideia!)... e claro, queria que as pessoas que visitassem o blog gostassem e saíssem daqui um pouco mais inspiradas do que chegaram.

Queria isto tudo. O que eu nunca esperei, no entanto, foi a resposta que o Miss Tangerine teve por parte de quem está desse lado. Foi crescendo, devagarinho é certo, mas foi crescendo constantemente. As visitas aumentaram, os seguidores também, e eu fui ficando cada vez mais feliz por saber que desse lado gostavam de me ler.

Hoje já somos 1005 por aqui, o que é ridiculamente espectacular! :D

E portanto quero agradecer-vos muito por estarem aí.

Trend alert. Peplum is one of the biggest trends of the year and let's all hope it's here to stay: it has a way of showing off a woman's body with an elegance that very few other shapes have. Therefore, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this wonderful blouse at Primark (plus, it was a real bargain!)... Not only I love its shape, I also really like the deep electric blue. I decided to pair it with simple black pieces and a tiny cute necklace that made all the difference: sometimes understated beauty is the best kind, don't you think?

Alerta de tendência. Peplum é uma das maiores tendências deste ano e sinceramente espero que tenha vindo para ficar: consegue evidenciar o corpo feminino com uma elegância que poucos outros cortes têm.  No entanto, apesar de adorar, ainda não tinha encontrado o "meu" peplum... e é por isso mesmo que nem queria acreditar quando vi esta blusa na Primark, por um preço óptimo! Adoro não só a forma como a cor, este azul eléctrico é fantástico. Decidi conjugá-la com peças simples e preto e com um pequeno colar que fez toda a diferenla: às vezes ganha-se tanto com coisas pequenas, não acham?

Goodies | USA bikini

Bikini: Madlady (find it here)

Trend pattern. This year patterns took over the fashion world, and the USA flag print was definetely one of them. It looks really good, especially  if your going for a Summer festival kind of look. Therefore, I was really excited when I received this bikini from Madlady: not only can it be worn as a bikini, but also it would be great underneath a loose top, don't you think?

At last. Remember this post, in which I told you about me winning an awesome pair of Jeffrey Campbell Tardy boots on a giveaway? Well, back then I promised I would do an outfit with them and so here it is! Once I realized the blue in the boots is actually made of denim, I just knew I had to pair them with a colour-matching pair of jeans (that's why it took so long, the perfect jeans were hard to find!). The rest of the outfit just popped into my mind... It's a bit more rocky than what I usually wear, but these boots really do rock my world so I thought it was appropriate! Tell me what you think :)

Finalmente. Lembram-se deste post, no qual vos contei que tinha ganho um par de botas Tardy do Jeffrey Campbell num giveaway? Na altura prometi que depois vos mostrava um conjunto com elas e portanto aqui está ele! Assim que me apercebi que o azul das botas vem do facto de serem de ganga, soube que gostava que as conjugar com umas jeans da mesma cor de modo a não "cortar" a perna (por isso é que o post demorou tanto tempo, as jeans perfeitas não queriam aparecer!). O resto do conjunto fez-se sozinho na minha mente... É um pouco mais roqueiro do que aquilo que costumo usar, mas estas botas merecem-no, não acham? :)
